Woodbush Eco Camping offers Off-grid, Semi Off-grid & Pitch-Up Wild Camping on privately owned land amongst the protected Woodbush Granite grasslands of Haenertsburg, Limpopo. The perfect half-way camping stop on your way to the Kruger National Park from Gauteng! Located on top of the mountain about 1500m above sea level, with stunning 360 ° views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Our aim is to provide a campground that contributes towards preserving the Woodbush Granite grasslands and it’s fauna & flora in a self sufficient & eco friendly way following the ‘Leave No Trace’ rule.

Camping Options Available

SEMI OFF-GRID CAMPSITES

An area with 6 designated campsites. There is NO electricity but a solar plug point is available for charging of small items. Semi Off-Grids are closest to the ablutions and have use of the eco toilets (non flush), the outdoor shower (heated by donkey boiler) and fresh water in JoJo tanks. You need to be partially self sufficient. All campers have access to permitted trails around the campground and down into the valley.

OFF-GRID CAMPSITES

This area has 5 designated campsites and is located further away from the ablution facilities. There is NO electricity available and no use of the shower. There is access to fresh water in JoJo tanks and to the eco compost toilets (non-flush). You will need to be mostly self-sufficient. All campers have access to permitted trails around the campground and down into the valley.

PITCH-UP WILD CAMPSITES

This area is currently only suitable for off road vehicles. There are no designated campsites, NO electricity and no ablution facilities. You may use the fresh water available in JoJo tanks next to the Semi Off-grid ablutions. This area is for campers that are completely self sufficient. All campers have access to permitted trails around the campground and down into the valley.
